Beards have been around for a minute. But let's be real here, the beard has become super popular in the last 6 years. From Hollywood to the hard wood of the NBA, the beard is a trending topic. With all the beards blowing in the wind out there, Its imperative that you know how to rock YOUR beard. Or, in the massive world of beard mania, you will choose a beard the same way most people choose anything else--What's the most popular trending beard out there. If you choose your beard that way--You will shave it off, and that will be a good thing because it wont be authentic you rocking an authentic beard.
So here are 4 ways to choose YOUR BEARD.
1. Confidence. If you are not confident in the facial hair poking out of your follicles, then you will fail at anything you try to do. If, however, your beard adds to your confidence then you will walk out with shoulders back and head high. When you walk out like that in the morning--you will be productive. And, on a real solid note, you will treat people better when you walk in real confidence. If you are lacking confidence and are insecure...YOU WILL TREAT PEOPLE BAD. So, YOUR BEARD needs to be a beard that builds your confidence.
2. Commitment. How committed are you to growing out the mark of a man? Beards take time,
especially if you are going to take care of it. It takes time to grow, trim, maintain, brush, and style a beard. I have known people who were lightly committed to a beard but still jumped off the bare face cliff and went for it. Inevitable anything you are not committed to will fail and that includes beards. So, YOUR BEARD needs to be a beard that you are committed to.
3. Commonality. Are there any beard styles out there that you are specifically drawn to? I know it sounds like I am saying to just choose a popular beard style. I AM NOT. But, what I am saying is that there are certain styles that you are attracted to for a reason--YOU LIKE IT. SO, if there is a specific beard style out there that you particularly like--go for it. In the process you will probably discover your unique beard. So, YOUR BEARD needs to be a beard that you feel a common draw to in the first place.
4. Comments. Listen, if you are in a relationship that matters, get their opinion on your beard. Ask for their comments and suggestions. Again, I am not saying to just grow the beard that pleases people. But, the people that you care about will most likely care about you--so get their honest opinions. My wife has saved me from awful decisions 1000 times. And yes, she has even given me direction regarding my beloved facial hair. So, YOUR BEARD needs to get some great comments from the people you love or want to be in a relationship with.
